Ceim 1 serves as an introduction to Sli Beatha.
Students begin to learn the most basic and fundamental aspects of the system,
including proper technique, movement and tactics.
Alll stances, movements, strike deliveries, striking surfaces and targets
are based on principles of physics and anatomy.
Students are also introduced to basic aspects of Celtic culture, history and philosophy.

In addition to being able to explain and perform the above techniques,
the student must be able to repeat the class opening and count to five in Gaeilge (Irish Gaelic).
